On my way home

Cannot get home fast enough. I have the next two days off and tomorrow is my 41st birthday. My cholesterol is up but I'm running four miles three times a week. Now I've got to watch what I eat more closely.

I went to friend's house for lunch and I reacquainted myself with his dog Max after we ate a good King Ranch Casserole. The picture is a little off because Max wouldn't sit still.

My daughter fell ill so we had to take her to her pediatrician. Any sick child is the worst thing in the world. She is not feeling so good but the diagnosis isn't so bad. She's in good spirits in spite of allergies and a touch of fever. Get better woman.

I always thought these doors were interesting. A few weeks ago I saw a dude taking pictures of a girl right in front of the star door...maybe she was a model.

Went to the optometrist today and I've had the same prescription for the past 20 years. In other news, my cousin Erica had a bouncing baby boy...congrats cuz!

Early run today now I can spend the rest of the day with the family. City of McAllen does a great job keeping trails clean and picturesque.

Beautiful sky on my way home. I am off from work for the next two days and looking forward to spending them with my family.

Run

Today was my first 3 mile run and I feel fine. This picture is of my only "pet". She likes to eat flies and isn't very demanding, just a little water and fertilizer now and then.

I realize 2012 has 366 days to it but 365 has a better ring to it. Going back to work after a week off makes me realize I really love vacations even we just stay at home. In other news, today was my mother-in-law's birthday and here she is with my wife and little girl.
